Sign of the times? Israel Radio terms Meretz "Radical Left"

In a report on Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's 17 July Knesset address on the
Lebanon war Israel Radio Knesset correspondent Beni Teitelbaum reported this
morning that "all but the radical Left Meretz Party" supported Prime
Minister Ehud Olmert.

While the term "radical" ("kitzoni") has been frequently used in the past by
Israel Radio to describe almost every shade of right-wing Israeli politician
and party, this is the first time in my recollection that such a term has
been used to describe the radical Left Meretz Party by Israel Radio.
