IDF: IAF will continue attacking weapons being moved from Syria and provide
air cover to ground forces

IMRA asked the IDF Spokespersons Office (shortly before Secretary of State
Rice's scheduled morning press conference) if within the context of
exception that Israel reserves the right during the 48 hour suspension or
air operations to attack any militants who pose an immediate threat to
Israel, like those preparing to launch rockets against Israel or
transporting rockets that they are preparing to fire, if:

1. The term "preparing to fire" would apply to any rockets being transported
from Syria into Lebanon or only those being moved to a launch position.

2. The term "immediate threat to Israel" applies to threats to the
territory of Israel or also to Israeli ground forces operating in Lebanon.

The security source" replied that:

1. Israel reserves the right to attack any rockets being transported.

2. Israel reserves the right to provide air support for IDF forces operating
in Lebanon that are "facing a threat".
