VPM Peres: Israel has too much on urgent agenda to consider Golan/Syria

In response to a question, VPM Shimon Peres said in a live interview
broadcast this morning on Israel Radio that it is not the time for Israel to
engage in the question of Syria and the Golan.

Peres explained that Israel has far too many pressing matters on its agenda
and that both the Government and the Israeli public are not in a position to
add this matter to the agenda for the time being.
