Wanted Tanzim terrorist arrested in Tulkarm

In a joint IDF, ISA and Border Police arrest operation earlier today in
Tulkarm, forces arrested Amer Barake, a senior operative in the Tanzim, an
offshoot of the Fatah organization. Amer Mahmud Muhamad Barake, 20, a senior
Tanzim operative, was involved in the development of a rocket launching
infrastructure in the West Bank. Furthermore, a month ago Barake attempted
to recruit a suicide bomber in order to carry out a bombing attack that was
directed by operatives from the Gaza Strip.

In addition, Barake was involved in manufacturing several explosive belts
and explosive devices, and also was involved in several explosive device
attacks and shooting attacks against IDF forces operating in Tulkarm.

Barake's terror activity was directed by Hezbollah terrorists and by
operatives from the Gaza Strip. Barake also served as a middleman between
operatives from the Gaza Strip and operatives in Tulkarm.

Gasser Abu Zarib, a Tanzim operative, was killed as he attempted to escape
security forces along with Barake. Abu Zarib was a weapons dealer, had been
involved in shooting attacks in the area of Tulkarm and assisted other
wanted operatives.
