An-Najah Poll of Palestinians: Arab Initiative not solution 55.1%:26.9%, Concentrate "resistance" inside Green Line 68.2%:25.8%, 41.7% of Gazans would consider leaving if could live overseas

Results of Palestinian Public Opinion Poll No 26
21-23 March 2007

Following are the results of the 26th Palestinian Public Opinion Poll
conducted by the Center for Opinion Polls and Survey Studies at An-Najah
National University during the period from March 21-23, 2007. The University
sponsors all polls conducted by its Center.

1 Are you optimistic or pessimistic towards the general Palestinian
situation at this stage?

Ayman Al-Thawahri accused the leadership of Hamas of "handing in" most of
the area of Palestine to Israel and "selling" the Palestinian cause. He also
said that Hamas uses Shari'a to keep hold of the government, that it
ransacked the rights of Islamic people, that it retreated by agreeing to
respect international resolutions and that its position follows the steps of
Anwar Sadat, the former Egyptian president.
