Detailed Poll Results show strong opposition to positions Secretary Rice and
Pres. Peres claim are held by Israeli public

Telephone poll of a representative sample of 1,012 adult Israeli Jews
carried out by Maagar Mohot Survey Institute (headed by
Professor Yitzchak Katz) on 18-26 October 2007.
Survey error +/- 4.5 percentage points.

The poll was commissioned by the Israel Policy Center for Promoting
Parliamentary Democracy and Jewish Values in Israeli Public Life. The
Jerusalem-based center is headed by Prof. Yitzhak Klein, who also advises
the Knesset Law Committee.

Text of questions and results as translated by IMRA:

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is carrying out negotiations with the head of the
PA, Abu Mazen, on an agreement that he claims will advance an arrangement
with the Palestinians, within the framework of which the IDF will withdraw
from Judea and Samaria, Jewish communities will be evacuated from there,
part of Jerusalem will be transferred to the Palestinians and a Palestinian
state will be established in those areas.

1. In your opinion, is Abu Mazen and his government able or unable today to
prevent terror attacks and the firing of rockets against Israel from the
areas of Judea and Samaria?
