MK Peretz: Israel should not defend itself against rockets launched from
schools

Former defense minister Amir Peretz said that the IDF should be enabled to
fire at houses in the Gaza Strip from which rockets are fired at Israel.
"If Palestinian families turn their houses into workshops for the production
of rocket or warehouses for arms they should be considered military
installations for all purposes and be attacked," said Peretz. Along with
this, according to him, Israel should honor its moral code, and under no
circumstances attack targets in places where Hamas has imposed itself on the
population such as schools. In an interview on "This Morning" on Reshet Bet
of Israel Radio, MK Amir Peretz added that Hamas represents an important
partof Palestinian society and thus one should talk with them, even in
secret talks.
