MK Erdan to appeal to High Court against Olmert-led talks with Syria

MK Gilad Erdan (Likud) announced that he will appeal to the High Court of
Justice in the upcoming days with a request to demand that Prime Minister
Ehud Olmert stop negotiations with Syria. According to him, "Olmert does not
have the moral and legal authority to continue talks since it is likely that
verbal commitments will be made that will tie the hands of the next
government."

It is sad that Kadima Chairwoman Tzipi Livni is reacting as usual in a weak
and slack manner and not acting to immediately halt these illegal talks,"
added Erdan.
