Moshe Green of Tzomet: waiting for Likud to agree to terms

Moshe Green of Tzomet: waiting for Likud to agree to terms
Dr. Aaron Lerner Date: 16 December 2008

IMRA asked Tzomet chairman Moshe Green about the negotiations he has held
over Tzomet joining the Likud Party list. 1,509 voted for Tzomet in the 2006
Knesset Elections. The minimum number of votes required for representation
in those elections was 62,760.

IMRA: In terms of the timetable, how much time is left to submit a list for
the Knesset elections?

Green: The 24th of December.

IMRA: That's 8 more days.

Green: Yes. That's why we came and said [AL to the Likud] we have already
been negotiating for a week to ten days. And the Likud has a paper and then
doesn't have a paper and on the one hand they say "yes, yes, everything is
OK, 100%, perfect, there's nothing left to talk about. Everything is good. "

But when we get to what we call in Hebrew the "tachlis" - I want a
written paper that states that "The Government of Israel will legislate a
law when the prime minister is Binyamin Netanyahu, providing 250 square
meters of land for every soldier completing service and an academic
education for every soldier completing service" then everything would be
OK. I would have no problem.

But you see, nothing is budging here.
