Egyptian Psychiatrist Dr. Salah Haroun: The Druze Are Infidels

Following are excerpts from an address by Egyptian psychiatrist Dr. Salah
Haroun, which aired on Al-Nas TV on February 17, 2009.

Dr. Salah Haroun: There is a very peculiar group of people - the Druze. Who
are these people? They are infidels, who do not believe in the prophets or
in Judgment Day. They have no such thing as Paradise or Hell. So what do
they believe in? Listen to what they believe. This is going on today in
several countries, including the Arab countries of Greater Syria. They do
not believe in the prophets, in Judgment Day, in Paradise, or in Hell. They
believe in reincarnation. What does this mean? When someone dies, his soul
ascends to the heavens, or else it enters another body. That is their
belief. As for a sinner, when he dies, his soul enters a dog or a pig. What
is this?! This means that every dog got his soul from an evil person. This
is a strange belief. I have never heard or read that such a thing existed
even in pre-Islamic times.
[...]
There are 2 billion Christians. As we know, there are 1.2 billion Muslims.
There are 900 million Hindus, who worship cows. Allah! They worship cows, as
we've seen. Non-religious people - people who don't believe in any religion,
and who say there is no such thing as God - number 850 million. By Allah,
this is strange. When, in pre-Islamic times, someone was asked who he
worshipped, he would say: "I worship seven gods - six on Earth, and one in
Heaven." Imagine that. Today, there are 850 million people who have no
religion. There are 360 million Buddhists, who worship Buddha. Allah! 360
million?! That's a huge figure. You know, when I say these things - it's
driving me mad. What are these figures?
[...]
There are 228 million people who say they have a certain ideological belief,
such as socialism, capitalism, and so on. That's it. If you ask them, they
will say they have nothing to do with religion. There are 95 million people
who belong to pagan religions, such as wicca and the like. I beg you to grab
a pen and paper and to do the math.
[...]
There are 23 million Sikhs. It is a very large sect. As for Judaism - there
are 19 million. This figure is in doubt - there may be only 15 million Jews.
You see how many we are? A huge number. Someone told me something nice. He
said: "If we were to spit on the Jews, they would drown." I said to him: "We
cannot spit on anyone. Even our saliva has dried up." 19 million people. As
for the atheists - who are they? They say there is no god whatsoever. Go to
any country... Take a sample of the developed countries, which have ruled
the world with science...
There you go! Who is this? Surely you recognize him. Some people used to say
that Obama is a prophet. This makes me sad. This is the prophet who has come
to save the world?! Do you know what he is doing? Do you know what this cap
is? Do you know where this picture was taken? In Palestine, where he went to
receive the Jewish blessing. This won him votes in the elections.
