Dahaf Poll: Likud 29 Kadima 32 Labor 8, Netanyahu gets better grade than Livni and most qualified to be PM don't expect Israel to attack Iran

Dahaf Poll: Likud 29 Kadima 32 Labor 8
Dr. Aaron Lerner Date 21 March 2010

Dahaf told IMRA today that the pollster first asked respondents who they
would vote for.

The question about Merridor, Begin and Yaalon is followed up by an article
complaining that the three spend all their time thinking about Israel's
various strategic problems and generating position papers. It is
understandable in a country with a culture that abhors thinking beyond the
next news bulletin that many people find it superfluous for Netanyahu's top
decision making team be heavily weighed with people who spend most of their
time thinking.

In contrast to the attack in Yediot Ahronot, the leading correspondents in
the Haaretz newspaper, that can certainly not be suspected of supporting
the policies of the Netanyahu Government, have described the arrangement as
one that has provided Binyamin Netanyahu with a tremendous decision-making
team that can think through policy options instead of engaging in the
traditional Israeli shoot from the hip approach. (The amount of time PM
Sharon put into thinking about retreating from Gaza before he made the
decision, for example, was about as long as it took to read this sentence.
No serious work was done regarding possible outcomes and the various groups
and agencies that might contribute their ideas on the matter were not even
consulted before the decision was made.) .

Telephone poll of a representative sample of 500 adult Israelis (including
Arab Israelis) carried out by Dahaf for Yediot Achronot the week of 19 March
and published on 19 March 2010
.
