The Knesset Christian Allies to Host Top Christian Students

The Knesset Christian Allies to Host Top Christian Students
Christian “Birthright” group visits Israel

Jerusalem- July 21, 2010. On Wednesday July 21st, the Knesset Christian
Allies Caucus will host an educational encounter between Knesset members and
exemplary Christian college students.

The students were participants of the Eagles’ Wings Annual Israel Experience
College Scholarship Program sometimes dubbed ‘Christian Birthright’ because
it trains participants to serve as informed Israel advocates on their
college campuses.

The delegation will have a chance to hear from and interact with Deputy
Minister MK Ayoob Kara (Likud), MK Yoel Hasson (Kadima), and MK Fania
Kirshenbaum (Yisrael Beteinu) in the Knesset.

According to Eagles’ Wings educational director Michael Onifer, the program
aims “to raise up educated ambassadors who are articulate about the truth
about Israel's situation, about God's promises to Israel, and about why it's
important for Christians to pursue that."

Previous participants have gone on to establish successful political careers
as parliamentary aids and speech writers.

The KCAC is a bi-partisan caucus comprised of seventeen Knesset members.
Established in 2004 by the late Dr Yuri Shtern, it is today chaired by
Knesset Member David Rotem. The caucus aims to forge direct lines of
communication between Knesset members and Christian leaders, organizations
and political representatives in Israel and around the world.
