Expert committees at Int’l conference on terrorism start work

Tehran, May 14, IRNA – Simultaneous with opening of the International
Conference on Global Alliance Against Terrorism for a Just Peace in Tehran,
the expert committees of the conference started work this afternoon.

Peace-lovers from over 60 countries around the world have attended the
international event.

Over 100 foreign and 300 Iranian experts and elites are participating in the
two-day event.

Topics categorized in four groups of 'Terrorism: Concepts and Contexts',
'Actors, Structures and Pathology,' 'Terrorism: Culture and the Media',
'Just Peace: Prevention and Elimination of Terrorism' will be discussed
during the event.

The experts would explore many issues like definitions, the approaches of
religions and cultures, the functions and roles of NGOs and the relationship
between justice, peace, security and terrorism during the first section.

In third section, the Iranian and foreign experts would discuss issues such
as cultural terrorism, cyber terrorism, media and justice, role of cultures
in opposing terrorism, mass media and terrorism.

Several issues including frameworks of just peace , education on counter
terrorism, protection of victims of terror and just peace, just peace and
prevention and elimination of terrorism, a universal understating of peace,
justice and terrorism, alliance against terrorism to establish a just peace
will also be addressed in the fourth section.

The Just Peace Symphony would be performed on the closing day of the
conference at Vahdat Hall in Tehran.
