On the 44th anniversary of the establishment of the terror organization the
Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), Palestinian Authority
TV broadcast extensively from the PFLP organization's celebration.

Between two speeches, the organizers chose to play part of a song praising
the PFLP's assassination of Israeli Tourism Minister Rehavam Ze'evi in 2001.

"On Oct. 17, [2001], the [gun's] silencer made sounds of joy
At the Regency Hotel, the death sentence [of Minister Ze'evi] was carried
out
[PFLP's] Secretary General Ahmad Sa'adat swore and threatened [Israel]
The Eagles (PFLP military wing) were called to gather information..."

Ahmad Sa'adat is serving 30 years in prison for heading the PFLP. He is also
suspected of planning the assassination of Israeli Tourism Minister Rehavam
Ze'evi in 2001, that is celebrated in the song, although he was not tried
for this crime. Israel refused to include Sa'adat in the prisoner exchange
deal with Hamas for kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit in October 2011.

"Oh miserable Ze'evi, by Allah, death has reached you," are words from the
continuation of that song which describes the assassination of the Israeli
minister, but were not heard on TV because another speech began before the
song was finished:

"[The Eagles were called to gather information]
on the Israeli government,
and on the ministers of death
On the 40th day [after Israel's killing of PFLP member Abu Ali Mustafa]
the fig leaves fell:
[PFLP member] Majdi [Al-Rimawi] planned [and]
[PFLP armed wing] Abu Ali Brigades broke into the hotel [with] forged
passports
[PFLP members Basel] Al-Asmar [the look-out]
and [Hamdi] Qur'an [who shot Ze'evi] responded loudly:
'Oh miserable Ze'evi, by Allah, death has reached you.'
The first item on all [news] broadcasts was that the Abu Ali Brigades are
professionals in targeted assassinations.
On the front pages of [Israeli newspapers] Ma'ariv and Yediot was a big
photo of Ze'evi in a coffin."

A second song played later at the PFLP ceremony included the words:

"Kill me, slaughter me, execute me
I'm the [Popular] Front, and through my death I live
If you haven't noticed my origin and name
[The killing of] Ze'evi reminds you of the [Popular] Front..."

PA TV further honored terrorists by broadcasting a music video on PA TV
glorifying the PFLP which included pictures honoring their terrorists such
as Leila Khaled - who participated in the hijacking of the TWA flight 840 in
1969, George Habash - founder of the PFLP, and Abu Ali Mustafa - General
Secretary of the PLFP who planned numerous terror attacks against Israeli
civilians during the Palestinian terror campaign (the "Intifada"), as well
as Ahmad Sa'adat and other PFLP terrorists posing with weapons. PA TV
broadcast this clip numerous times on Dec. 10-11, 2011.

The PA has also announced its plans to honor the PFLP terrorists George
Habash and Abu Ali Mustafa by naming squares after them in Ramallah:
"Executive Director of the Ramallah municipality, Ahmed Abu Laban... said:
'... [the project] is part of an entire plan of the Ramallah municipality to
build several squares in the city, to be named after Palestinian symbols in
many spheres. Work is currently in progress on the George Habash Square...
[and] other squares in the city, such as... the Abu Ali Mustafa Square, the
Ahmed Yassin Square...'"
[Al-Ayyam, Feb. 6, 2011]

PA honoring terrorists is part of PA policy. Last week, PMW reported that PA
Minister of Prisoners' Affairs, Issa Karake, likewise continued to honor
terrorists when he visited the home of terrorist Ahmad Sa'adat and said the
following:
"To me, he [Ahmad Sa'adat] represents a very great value and he is a leader
and a teacher and a school... he represents a human value and a cultural
value, and he is a role model for us. When I am in the home of Ahmad Sa'adat
I draw strength, I draw new spirit... I love you very much."

The following are longer excerpts from the quotes cited above:

PA Minister of Prisoners' Affairs Issa Karake visits home of imprisoned
terrorist Ahmad Sa'adat:
"I'm very happy to be in the home of Ahmad Sa'adat. To me, he represents a
very great value and he is a leader and a teacher and a school. I was raised
on the name Ahmad Sa'adat from a very young age. He represents something
symbolic; he represents a human value and a cultural value, and he is a role
model for us. When I am in the home of Ahmad Sa'adat I draw strength, I draw
new spirit, I want to send him greetings. I want to tell you that I love you
very much; take care of your health and take care of the guys; may Allah
curse the father of the occupation, and curse the father of the father of
Israel, who came to this land which forced us to pay this price. But the
future is ours, and victory is ours, Allah willing."
[PA TV (Fatah), Nov. 14, 2011]

PA TV transmission from celebration of 44th anniversary of the establishment
of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). A song about
the murder of Israeli Minister of Tourism, Rehavam Ze'evi, was played
between two speeches:

[PA TV (Fatah), Dec. 12, 2011]

The song was stopped here at the ceremony because the next speech started.
The complete song continues to describe the assassination of Ze'evi:

Excerpt from the other song played as a filler at the PLFP ceremony:
"Kill me, slaughter me, execute me
I'm the [Popular] Front, and through my death I live
If you haven't noticed my origin and name
[The killing of] Ze'evi reminds you of the [Popular] Front..."
[PA TV (Fatah), Dec. 12, 2011]

Ramallah municipality to name city squares after terrorists and others:
"Executive Director of the Ramallah municipality, Ahmed Abu Laban... said:
'Execution of the Mahmoud Darwish Square [project] is part of an entire plan
of the Ramallah municipality to build several squares in the city, to be
named after Palestinian symbols in many spheres. Work is currently in
progress on the George Habash Square... the Mahmoud Darwish Square... Yasser
Arafat Square. The aim is to inaugurate all three squares at the beginning
of next summer. Thereafter
we will begin work on other squares in the city, such as the Haidar Abd Al-
Shaf i Square, the Abu Ali Mustafa Square, the Ahmed Yassin Square, the
Bashir Barghouti Square, the Karim Khalaf Square, and other squares.'"
