Poll for Knesset Vote: If Olmert or Livni join Lapid party it will not
effect the Right-Left balance of Knesset
Dr. Aaron Lerner Date 11 July 2012
[This result should come as no surprise since the positions of Olmert on
Arab-Israeli affairs are to the left of Meretz.]
1. The survey was commissioned by Channel 10 TV and conducted by telephone
on 10 July 2012 [apparently after the court decisions on several cases
against Ehud Olmert were announced] among a random sample of 511
respondents, constituting a representative sample of Israel's adult
population (aged 18 and over - including Israeli Arabs).
Maximum sampling error is 4.5% with respect to various estimates.
2. The survey was conducted by Maagar - Interdisciplinary Research and
Consulting Institute Ltd., managed by Professor Yitzhak Katz.
3. Respondents were asked three times how they would vote if elections were
held for the Knesset today:
#1 Without mentioning Olmert or Livni.
#2. With Olmert joining the Lapid party.
#3. With Livni joining the Lapid party
If elections held today (expressed in Knesset seats)
