Public Opinion Survey on Settlements in Judea and Samaria

Dr. Aaron Lerner - IMRA: the following is IMRA's translation of the results
of this important poll of Israeli Jews inside the Green Line on matters
concerning Judea and Samaria.

While much of the coverage of the survey has focused on what might be termed
a shift in opinion away from support for the Jewish communities in Judea and
Samaria, it should be noted that despite the change, there remains a large
majority among Israeli Jews residing within the Green Line who oppose
accepting anything close to what the Palestinians are demanding.

This may be driven by the response to the following survey question:

30. If Israel accepts the solution of "two states for two peoples," What do
you think it will do to the Israeli - Palestinian conflict?
1. Nothing 33%
2. Prevent the escalation of the conflict for a short time only 30%
3. Prevent the escalation for a long period 19%
4. Will end the conflict 12%
5. Do not know and other answers 6%
