MK Danny Danon explains to IMRA what means by "regional solution"
Dr. Aaron Lerner - IMRA 25 December 2014
IMRA asked Likud MK Danny Danon to explain what he meant when he said that
"the solution must be a regional solution. Not just a solution with the
Palestinians, but instead we should ask for the involvement of the
Jordanians and the involvement of the Egyptians as part of the solution."
Did he mean, as Liberman has in the past, that Jordanian forces should be
deployed in Kalkiliya and Egyptian forces a few kilometers from Ashkelon?
MK Danon SMS'd back:
From Danny Danon:
No. What I meant was that the Arabs of Judea and Samaria will stay in their
towns and villages but their national political aspirations will be
recognized through Egypt or Jordan.
The exact configuration will need to be reached through negotiations with
the Egyptians and Jordanians.
There will not be a Palestinian state and there will be no military force
between the Mediterranean and the Jordan River besides the IDF.
