FOR THE FIRST TIME: ABOUT 170 SENIOR REPRESENTATIVES OF THE POLISH TOURISM
INDUSTRY ARE PARTICIPATING THIS WEEK IN A CONFERENCE HOSTED BY THE TOURISM
MINISTRY

The guests, led by the Polish Deputy Minister for Tourism and Sport, will
participate in a seminar and touring the country with a view to encouraging
incoming tourism from Poland.

Tourism Minister Dr. Uzi Landau: "Poland is one of the fastest emerging
markets in Central Europe and, with the increase in the local standard of
living, it is important to present Israel as a quality and attractive
holiday destination to the potential Polish tourist."

Jerusalem, April 16, 2015 - The bi-annual conference of the Polish Tourism
Organization, which is taking place at the Dan Panorama Tel Aviv 15-16
April, includes the participation of members of Parliament, tour operators,
travel agents, aviation companies and hoteliers, as well as Polish
journalists. Following the conference, the participants will tour the
country as guests of the Tourism Ministry, including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and
the Dead Sea. In addition, there will be high level meetings between the
Polish and Israeli tourism representatives.

Given that Poland is one of the fastest growing of the emerging markets for
incoming tourism from Central Europe, the Tourism Ministry decided to invest
in marketing Israel as a tourism destination from Poland. Among others, the
tourism potential comes from the development of the low cost airlines such
as Wizzair, that operate flights Tel Aviv- Warsaw and Tel Aviv-Katowice.
Unlike in previous years when most of the incoming tourism from Poland came
for religious/pilgrimage reasons, there has been a noticeable change in
recent years in the reason for travel. The Tourism Ministry is interested to
present to the representatives from the Polish tourism industry the wealth
of cultural tourism that Israel has to offer to those Polish tourists
seeking new and attractive destinations.
