Maagar Mochot Poll finds Israelis want PM Netanyahu to reject President
Obama's demands
Dr. Aaron Lerner Date: 11 June 2009
A poll carried out this Wednesday and Thursday by Maagar Mohot Survey
Institute (headed by Professor Yitzchak Katz) finds that the Israeli public
wants Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to reject President Barack Obama's
demands and believes that meeting Obama's demands will only lead to
additional pressure on the Jewish State.
The poll also finds that the overwhelming majority of Israelis supports
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's argument against the feasibility of
establishing a sovereign Palestinian state that is subject to various
security restrictions. Netanyahu has warned that it is impossible to
enforce security restrictions and limitations on a sovereign Palestinian
state.
The telephone poll of a representative sample of 503 adult Israel Jews on
10-11 June 2009 has a survey error of +/- 4.5 percentage points.
