Weekly Commentary: The Question is Policies and Programs Not Personalities

The personality, religious affiliation or parents of a policy maker may be
nice for a color story about them, but their policies and programs are what
really matters.

Just because someone in a "friendly guy" doesn't mean that they haven't
intractably embraced terrible policies and programs.

And when it comes to Israel, the fact that someone is either Jewish or
married to one in no way serves as an indication of the policies and
programs they intend to pursue for our region.

Ditto who their parents are.

As we consider the remaining "window" before the Trump and administration
ends and the coming Biden administration come to power it is best that we
harbor no illusions.
